Dêto-ya Fêqê (/ˈdɘto/ /ja/ [wet; damp; moist] [year; period (duration of time)]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Lëcêngthëvi Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Dêto-ya Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Dêto-ya Fêqê was founded by Greensting Scorpions Shèqthêv, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Dêto-ya Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 29°C (84°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Dêto-ya Fêqê receives an average of 287 cm/y (112 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Overview

Dêto-ya Fêqê was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1305, by Greensting Scorpions Shèqthêv. The establishment of Dêto-ya Fêqê suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Dêto-ya Fêqê which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Dêto-ya Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Dêto-ya Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Dêto-ya Fêqê is was constructed arround several restrictive packed earth mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Dêto-ya Fêqê weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Dêto-ya Fêqê's budget focused millitary grade defenses are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Dêto-ya Fêqê gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable. Beneath this surface, the people of Dêto-ya Fêqê can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear Dêto-ya Fêqê places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Dêto-ya Fêqê's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Dêto-ya Fêqê's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In Dêto-ya Fêqê every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.
